Top 5 Reasons to Exercise
Consistency and giving your all are the main things to keep in mind with any exercise program. Consistency reaps benefits! One HyperStrike member recently shared her experience with us and the one thing that stands out is her dedication and consistency!

After becoming frustrated with her current workout routine and the pounds not dropping off as expected, Elizabeth Sanchez decided to give HyperStrike a chance and signed up for the 14 day trial. The benefits began in just those 14 days “The 14 day free trial offered me the opportunity to learn and put into practice new routines and exercises”. When it comes to working out, Elizabeth uses the gym where she lives. “I am doing 5 workouts per week and I am not tired or sluggish. I no longer feel like going to the gym is a chore because of the variety that HyperStrike offers.” Elizabeth said. The variety gives her the ability to work out at her gym and be able to swap exercises that fit her lifestyle and gym. Here are some top reasons for you to start or keep up with your exercise program so like Elizabeth you too can reap the benefits of your consistency!

1. Have more energy! Many people use the excuse that they are just too tired to exercise. What they are missing is that exercise will actually provide MORE energy throughout the day. As Elizabeth told us, “I am doing 5 workouts per week and I am not tired or sluggish…I do have more energy”. It is a myth that exercise takes more energy out of you. When you start moving your body consistently, all systems start firing and working as they were designed to work which creates a more energy efficient vehicle…your body!

2. Lose weight. One of the most often stated reasons for working out is to lose weight. Many of us let weight sneak up on us over time as we become less active and eat more convenience foods. (More on that in an upcoming newsletter!) Exercise is a great way to combat those extra pounds! Elizabeth gives her main reason for working out as losing weight and getting back in shape. “I have gained 15lbs since November 2006 after I had to stay away from the gym for 3 months due to a back injury. My clothes no longer fit me and regular diet and exercise was not helping me lose any weight or inches”. Being consistent is changing that for Elizabeth and it can work for you too.

3. Enjoy some “me” time. Most of us are so busy that we rarely take time for ourselves. Between work, family, kids and life in general, it is hard to enjoy “me” time. Exercise is a great way to do that and it will make you a better, more patient person.

4. Control your stress level. Take out your stress from the day in the gym or on the treadmill! Use the energy from things that have stressed you out during the day to get the most out of your workout. You will find that you leave the gym in a much better state of mind too.

5. Improve self image/self esteem. Many of us struggle with self image, and why wouldn’t we? Magazine and television are full of “unreal” examples of what we should look like. Most of those examples are unhealthy and too thin or they are “airbrushed” to look a certain way. When you hit the weights or get in a strong cardio workout, you feel empowered, less stressed and better about yourself. Remember you are strong!
