Description

  • Seated, clasp your hands behind your head.
  • keeping the head up and straight, push both elbows back as far as is comfortable.
  • Gently lean back as far as is comfortable.
  • Feel the stretch in your back and torso.
  • Seated on a chair, place your feet firmly on the ground about 18 inches apart.
  • Let both arms hang straight down.
  • Slowly reach your hands straight down.
  • Carefully lower your head and reach your hands toward the rear.

ProTip

  • Exhale as you gently reach forward

Mistakes

  • Cocking the head back only
  • Bending back only from one section of the spine (instead of the entire length of the spine)
  • Keeping the head elevated
  • Bouncing
